We're excited to share some news from the American Chuck Wagon Association... The group will be hosting a major wagon event in Granbury, Texas on August 14-15, 2026. The plans include a full array of related vendors, antique wagon displays, and networking opportunities as well as speakers and roundtable Q/A sessions.
I'm making plans to be there and expect to be sharing a fair amount of rare information related to America's early wagon industry. Included in those presentations will be a review of wagon parts and period terminology as well as how to recognize special features on vehicles, brand identification tips, determining timeframes of manufacture, collector insights, and other details.
My understanding is that there will be a number of additional speakers, including Doug Hansen (Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop), Glenn Moreland (Texas Cowboy Outfitters), and others. This event is still in the planning stages so some details might change but those days in August seem to be solid. Put it on your calendar and I hope to see you there!
